Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is the third Avengers film and the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It showcases some of the franchises strongest qualities by grouping together multiple characters across the universe. Characters from Iron Man to Rocket the Racoon fill up the roster as they all try to face the extraordinarily over-powered new villain: Thanos. The characters find out that Thanos wants to eliminate half of all life in the universe, but he can't do so unless he has all 6 artifacts known as the Infinity Stones. As Thanos tries to find them all with the help of his allies, many superheroes from the Marvel Universe band together to try and stop him from acquiring all 6 Stones. This is easily one of the most hyped movies in recent years, but does it deliver on its 10 years worth of build-up? I say yes.
Ever since Avengers: Age of Ultron, hunger for a third entry in the Avengers series has spread and grown throughout the fandom and movie-going public. It was interesting to speculate how they were going to handle this story and it I think they handled it extremely well. It proves that the Russo brothers really care about this franchise and where it's going.
Image result for Avengers infinity war       It's quite a treat to see almost all the superheroes in one movie and interacting with each other even if there are some missing in action (I'm looking at you, Barton). It's easily one of the best aspects of this movie, but that does mean that a lot of planning had to go into who should get more screen time than others and it does prove to be somewhat faulty at times. I won't say who, but there are some characters that I feel should have gotten a little bit more screen time.
As far as villains go, Thanos has got to be one of the most interesting. It was surprising to see how much screen time he got and how open they presented him. He isn't just some mindless one-dimensional bad guy with tunnel vision. Well, actually, the tunnel vision is kinda still there, but he has his own story, his own feelings, and philosophy. It's his movie just as much as it is the others. We have known about him since the first Avengers movie and it's satisfying to see him portrayed well.
Another thing I have to give credit is the CGI. Everything from the other planets to the spaceships is all beautifully crafted with quality digital work.
There is another thing that irked me, but I don't think I'll voice it here. It delves into spoiler territory and I don't want death threats so I'll just leave it at that.
Overall, Avengers: Infinity War is the summer blockbuster of summer blockbusters. Its a super fun movie that delivers on the hype and will leave audiences with enough to last them for a long time. At least, until Part 2 come out next year, which will hopefully be just as good. 9.5/10
